For several months I have been thinking about doing Chairs again.
What better way to began than to repaint paint my favorite chair shape.
A painting of this chair was the first piece I sold after moving from Tampa and getting married.
I also painted it very small and then twice in the digital Painter program. (one of the digital pieces was a surreal collage)
This one is painted on an 11x14 gallery wrap canvas.

SOUTHERN MAGNOLIA
SOUTHERN MAGNOLIA
Where I grew up in the South, almost every home had a print from a painting of Magnolias. This is like a visit to my childhood.
I painted the Magnolia from a photo I took around twelve years ago. I have used it in two other paintings but this is the first time I have used it as the focus.
I painted on an orange toned 140lb watercolor paper.
PEARS IN MOTION

THE KITCHEN ORCHID
The leaves on the new orchid were nice but the leaves on the old one were musical!

APPLE IN A BLUE BOWL
I painted this image a few years ago as a demo at the "Home Show" in Daytona Beach. I gave it away at a Beaux Arts Christmas painting exchange. I was eager to see if I could paint it again even better as I belive I did with the "White Pepper." I don't know if it is better, but I do like it!
